Governors Sam Crawford and Arthur Capper

I misspoke in this video and said that Crawford authorized and led the 20th Kansas. That should have been the 19th Kansas. Please note and forgive the error.

Historic Topeka Cemetery is located between 10th and I-70 on California. The cemetery office is 1601 10th Street, 785-233-4132. It is open from dawn to dusk daily, and the office is open 8-2, M-F.

Former board member, Lisa Sandmeyer, is acting superintendent. Lisa's lifelong career in journalism serves her well in dealing with the diverse situations that occur in managing an historic site that is also an ongoing business.
